Two inches under the sky

17-tägige Mountainbike-Reise durch den Pamir über die Wakhan-Route

The Pamir Mountains are one of the most spectacular and, at the same time, loneliest high mountain ranges in the world. The Pamirs rise to well over 7,000 meters in Eastern Tajikistan. Here a unique cultural landscape and boundless hospitality await the traveller.

Our journey will take us from Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, to Khorugh by off-road vehicle, crossing the legendary Pamir Highway. Here we will climb on our bikes and ride in eight stages through the Bartang Valley up to Karakul Lake, 4,020 m above sea level. After crossing the border, we will continue to Kyrgyzstan, where we will finish our bike tour at the foot of Lenin Peak (7,134 m). We will then drive to the historic city of Osh on the old Silk Road. During the tour, the local crew will transport our luggage in all-wheel vehicles and make sure we are supplied with delicious food. We will ride each stage with a light daypack. If you would like a break from riding, it is possible to cover some stages by car.
